What subject do you feel you did the best in this year? This year the best subject was reading Why? Because I learnt more things like taking a break at the end of a fall stop. What subject did you not do so well in? The subject that I didn’t do so well was writing Why?  Because I didn’t put capital later it the beginning of sentences and sometimes it doesn't make sentences.    Did I manage my time wisely this year? This year I didn’t manage my time How? because I need to get tasks done .e.g. finishing most tasks, working independently, getting work on the conferencing doc. Did I get Golden Time this much this year? Why or Why not? I got most of the time on Golden time because I finished most of my work. What can I do differently next year? Why? Haiku Poetry

Ten Waka For Christmas

One day,Jemma and toby made paper boats. When they made their paper boat Jemma had a
problem her problem was that her boat was soggy and it kept tipping over. Toby had an idea
he thought to himself  that they could make Toby went to gorp some flacs from the basch.
Jemma and Toby started to make the waka.Instead of calling boat  they decided to call it double waka because there are to waka that are conned to gether.
 

 

Netbook Reflection 2012

Before  I had my netbook I didn’t like pencil and paper. It was so exhausting that it made my hand tired and it didn’t make my work tidy. But Pencil and paper can help you write neat. Now that I have a netbook I have learnt lots of kinds of stuff, like how to reset passwords. It  also helps you type fast and now I love coming to school to learn more.

The frustrating thing about my netbook is internet connection and it freezing. Good things about having a netbook is that you can take it home and post things onto your blog and while your home you can finish of your work like reading, math and also writing.

Overall, I feel happy about having a netbook as a learning tool because you can get lots of
information and learn lots of new things. My hopes for next year is to learn more things.   

Making Donuts

Last week on Friday the people that were on golden time got to make donuts with Miss Ouano.
We made the donuts in class. The part that we all got stuck on was pouring the mixture.
in the donut maker. It was so hard that some people poured in lots of mixture and it went everywhere.

The donuts that turned out perfect was Alarzae’s and Miss Ouano they even look better than ours. After pouring our mixture in Miss Ouano made some extra donuts for after school.
Putting the blue icing on with the sprinkles was the best part of making donuts.

At the end,my donuts didn’t turn out not so good because I put too much mixture in, but it did taste yummy.

Toy Making

On Tuesday, after morning tea we had our turn it making our toys. Before we started we
had to get into groups. One group was on the multimedia and the other group was on the mat with the teacher Miss Ouano. When we were all ready we started to make our toys but first we got our materials then we started.

I was so excited when I was making my toy but I was afraid that the balloon will pop!
So I kept off blowing tall it got a little bit bigger. The hard part was tying up the balloon
because I made it to big. So I let my hand go to let some air go out . I finally got to
tie up the balloon.

The toy I was making was a coin centrifuge. When I was finished making my coin centrifuge
I started to decorate  my balloon. The colors I used was grey, yellow, gold.

It the end of the day we all picked up ready to go home but when we sat down I carefully  put my hand down incase the balloon popped. When I sat down I folded my arms then my balloon popped!

I was so frightened, That I got scared.  











      



















      

How To Make A Coin Centrifuge Toy

1. The first step is to put the coin in the balloon.
2. Below the balloon then you have to flate it and gave it a circular motion to make the coin spin in the balloon.
3. Or rotate the balloon to make the coin spin like a motorcycle.

This is a story about a girl named Rosie who was a bully it her new
school. But when she first started she
got people into trouble. On lunch Rosie took Biff crisps and called her a toffee nose. Than Rosie started to be nasty to Anneena. Rosie called Anneena a goody-goody and pulled her hair than   push Wilma and called her a push Wilma and called her a
dinosaur brain. Rosie pulled chips
ear harder in tall he will tall Rosie a secret.

How To Make A Bridge

The impossible bridge

As you know on Monday the kids were making bridges on the table. On Thursday the kids use the ice block sticks to make a triangles for the birge.The kids made the bridge from the table to Mr- Keith’s table. Did you  know that a suspension bridge is a really good bridge for going over a gap.

The girl That Got Lost

The Man that rob the shop

Early in the morning There was a girl with her dad dropping her off to school than her dad left . Her name was kelly and her dad’s name was wall.

As kelly was walking she looked back and saw someone getting out of a black car with a goern on his hand going to rob the shop. So kelly rang the police on her phone . than the man run inside the shop.

As soon as the police just came they want inside the shop and told the bad man to take mask off. She  was so surprised that  the bad man was her dad.
Than he had to give all the things that he took from the shop and said sorry to his daughter.

The impossible bridge

On Monday they were making a scale model of their own town and they were also making a beam bridge.They had a problem it making the beam bridge.  
Emma decided to look up into the internet to find some information about the bridge.
To make a beam bridge you need a strip of cardboard than you banned it to make a half of a semicircle then you put a straight bridge. When the kids tried to strip the card it wasn’t strong enough. Do you know what is AN engineer report is a  kind of like a diary.
On wednesday the kids just found out that the arch bridge was much more stronger than the beam bridge.  

My Holiday high light

In the holiday on Tuesday me and my sisters went to my cousin’s house because my mum and my brothers went to hamilton. As we got to my cousins house it started to get a little bit boring because there was nothing to do but jumping on the jumper line and watching TV. When I saw my mum coming to pick us up we were excited. I started to jump up and down.

On Wednesday early in the morning as I just woke up I had to go shopping with my mum. Just as I got home  I heard that we were going pools but then I knew it will be boring so I decided to stay.

Tunnel beach

Did you know that tunnel beach got its own name from John Cargill? Do you know why tunnel beach is called that name? Tunnel beach is called that name because there is a tunnel where you go through to the other side of the little beach. John cargill was the man that bored the tunnel for has children.

Cutting fraction in different ways

I am learning to cut fraction in different ways.

Moonwalking

The signs was telling the visitors to stay on the path because they might fall into the crater.

It take about forty-five minutes to do moonwalking around the craters.

The mud bubbles and boils like thick, grey porridge.

Lake taupo was formed about eight hundred years ago by a huge volcanic eruption- the biggest in the world for five thousand years.

The same size as lake taupo is Singapore.

I am learning to cut fraction into diffident ways.

Making fraction with play dough

This week we are learning to cut fraction into parts but now we are learning to cut fraction into  lots of different ways. Today room 14 had a look at playdough and had a little experience about it. Miss Ouano gave each of our groups some play dough. As soon I got the play dough I started crush it through My hands.

As I flattened the play dough it felt sticky and mushy. When I smelt the dough it started to smell
like doughnut. The colour of the play dough was orange like the sun but the real colour was
vibrant orange.

In squares we are learning to cut fraction in different like the halves into different ways. When we started to cut up the eels into fifth parts it was kind of tricky.

The most thing that I have learnt from math was cutting parts equally. For math I enjoy
the new things we have had learnt.

Moonwlking

Do you know ? what grandpa meant when he said  they were going moonwalking well I did
he meant that they were going to the charter of the moon in tupo. In taupo it is kind of like the moon because there are little craters in taupo and and nothing can live in the moon.

The Cross Country Race

When the First bell went, some Year 4 and 5, 6 went to line up ready for the Cross Country Race. Mr Burt and all the Teachers went to take us where we all have to start .Then we were there. As soon as Mr Burt said "Go", all of the 10 yr old girl race of past lots of people.

As I was running I started to see some people with costumes. When I was running I was 4th but then I got to the mud part in forest and I almost slipped into the creek. So two of the 10 yr old girls started to go past me so I end up coming 6th.

As soon I got to the finish line I was feeling so tired and exhausted with muddy and dirty shoes on.   

Shot Put story

Valerie Adams won the silver medals but she was't happy so she just had to live with it. 

When all the people had to have a drag test they all of the people past but the only one that didn't  past was nadzeya Ostapchuck was caught using strong drags  drags that makes you strong.

When they notice that she was chetating she lost her gold medal so Valerie Adams is silver tuned into gold.

Term Two Reflection

Reading:

This term in reading I have learnt how to make a presentation and learning how to show my work in different way. This term in reading I done well it comprehension and answering from the book.
What I have done not so well in reading? this term is not finishing of some of work and talking to my partner next to me. Next term I am going to improve my reading by not talking to my partner next to me and finishing off my work.


Writing:
I have learnt how to make a paragraphs put fall shops it the end of a paragraphs .
I done well it putting cappu latter it the right places and in beginning of a sentences.
I have done not well it putting my writing into full sentences.




Next term I need to improve my writing so I can move up to the next level.

Andy Warhol

Do you know that Andy Warhol was born in august 6, 1928 and he nearly died after being shot three times by a mad woman named Valerie solanas? 


Andy warhol painted a picture of Marilyn Monroe and put cool colors around the picture and the face . Andy warhol was a great artist and love cats.

Andy warhol is style of art is called pop art. Pop art means popular art. He is the greatest artist in the world .

Andy printed a can of tomato soup. Andy warhol used bright colours and bold outlines to make the picture look real.

My favourite piece of his art is Marilyn Monroe because  he uses bright colours and bold outlines. His pop art looks amazing!

Andy was born in 1928 and was born in USA. Andy is parents came from Slovakia . When Andy Warhol was 8, he had disease, the disease was chorea. 


When Andy was sick in bed Andy Warhol was cutting out famous people from the magazine.

1. How do you feel about the work you did? Why? I feel good about my artwork because it looked great.

lot of mistake on my lips and nose.

Swimming

Room 14 had swimming in the morning. We have been diving and swimming to the other side without stopping.

In my group is Emmy, Nikki, and Lesieli.

We are learning to kick hard , no stopping and no touching the floor. In our group we did it kicking and stopping. 


I hope that next time we go swimming again next year.

My Favourite Things

Camp

Guess what? On Wednesday the year fives and sixes had camp. We all met in the hall so Mr Burt and all the teachers could tell us what to do. 

First thing that our group did was roller blading I thought it would be easy, but it was kind of hard. I still had fun. 

I will really miss camp and all the other activities. When I go camp next year I will be so happy!

Blindfold experience

Wow!!! what an exciting day on Monday. Room 14 had a blindfold experience, each of us had a partner. My partner was Faafetai she was  telling me were to go. When I was blindfolded  I did not see anything at all. The scary thing was jumping of the stage. When I jumped of the stage it felt
like I was going to fall down. It was cool was when I fell on to the blue mattress.

Great things take time

Great things take time.One day I hope I will be in a netball team like the Silver Ferns. It will take time. I will need to practise passing and shooting to be as great as the Silver Ferns. It might take as long it took J.k Rowling to write her book. I will need to take time with my writing so the audience can understand great writing take time.

My holiday

Holiday highlight.

During the holiday I went to the swimming pool with my brothers. My sisters didn't come because they had been to the beach  and had a great time. When they came back my brother and I left to the pool. When we were in the pool I tried to swim like a mermaid. While I was swiming my brothers were playing but I was looking after my little brother.
